4/9/08 – PoET student Gautam Mukunda sat on a panel for the interdisciplinary symposium, "The Ethical Implications of Synthetic Life", which featured discussion from top experts in bioethics, genomics and policy on the social, political and moral implications of this rapidly growing technology with vast potential to be either friendly or a 21st-century Frankenstein.
